This JL Rubicon was definitely built to turn heads. Some of the old school offroaders might throw a little shade at it, but this is a classic Miami-style Jeep. No, it probably shouldn’t go rock crawling through Moab (despite the 40 inch tires), but it’s great for the basic Florida trails and, of course, the streets. With it clad in Fab Fours body armor, it carries the same ideal of: If you don’t like it, it’s not for you. I had the opportunity to even drive it with the tube doors on, which in the dark of the early morning with A-Ha’s “Take on Me” playing loudly on the radio (hint: it’s a little loud with no doors) and the 66°F weather; it was completely amazing. I never understood the no/tube doors on a Jeep, but now I absolutely get it.

We were on a bit of a time crunch for these photos, and so we rolled up on the location around 5am to be able to have a little over an hour of darkness and I was hoping a lot for a great sunrise, considering the day before was a little stormy. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the sun rise I wanted, but mother nature provided exactly what we needed.

The photos turned out great, I personally love the little bit of light streaks we painted in, but I might be a little bit biased.
